So today an email popped in to my inbox which some of you might be interested in:
I am writing to remind you to share your views on the proposed Ultra Low
Emission Zone which would operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the same
area as the Congestion Charging zone.
The zone would be introduced from 2020 and aims to encourage the use of
newer, cleaner vehicles, reducing vehicle pollution by half.
All cars, motorcycles, vans, minibuses, and heavy vehicles would need to meet
a new emission standard or pay a daily charge to travel within the zone. The
proposed daily Ultra Low Emission Zone charge would be in addition to the
existing Congestion Charge. To find out more and to have your say, please visit tfl.gov.uk/ultra-low-emission-zone
This consultation ends on Friday 9 January 2015.
